The Mesdames of Mayhem will release their fifth short crime fiction collection this fall, titled In the Spirit of 13. The stories feature a crime…and an element of the supernatural. Last week, I sat down with publisher Donna Carrick to discuss my story, “The Fur Coat Conundrum.” It’s set in the newspaper world, circa 1978, and was sparked by my own adventures as a young newspaper reporter at that time.
